The Municipal Office in Gliwice undertakes to ensure its website accessibility in accordance with provisions of the act of 4 April 2019 on Digital Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Apps of Public Entities.

The state of digital accessibility

The website is partially compliant with the annex to the Act of 4 April 2019 on Digital Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Apps of Public Entities due to inconsistencies or exclusions listed below. 

Contents unavailable in digital format

Incompatibility with the annex:

  • Maps are an integral part of the site and may not be accessible to people with disabilities. 
  • Some graphical materials (images) do not have descriptions.

Exclusions:

  • The website has numerous maps, but these are exempt under the Act of 4 April 2019 on Digital Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Apps.
  • Article 3.2.4 of the Act shall not apply to maps and interactive maps, including geoportals, provided that in the case of interactive maps and geoportals intended for navigational purposes, the contact details and geographical location are presented in a digitally accessible form.

The declaration was prepared on the basis of:

  • the declaration presented by the website developer D17 Sp. z o. o., which declared compliance with the WCAG 2.1 guidelines at level AA. The contractor presented an appropriate declaration,
  • self-assessment of the information and documents posted on the website.

Feedback and contact details

In case of any problems with the availability of the website please contact the Department of Spatial Planning, email pp@um.gliwice.pl or by phone 32 338 65 02. Everyone has the right to request digital accessibility of the website or its elements. When submitting such a request, please provide:

  • your name and surname,
  • your contact details (e.g. telephone number, e-mail),
  • the exact address of the website where the digitally inaccessible item or content is located,
  • a description of what the problem is and what method of solving it would be most convenient for you.

We will respond to your application as soon as possible, no later than within 7 days of receiving it. If this deadline is too short for us, we will inform you about it. In this information, we will provide a new deadline by which we will correct the errors you reported or prepare the information in an alternative way. This new deadline will not be longer than 2 months. If we are unable to ensure digital availability of the website or content specified in your request, we will offer you access to it in an alternative way.

Handling requests and complaints related to accessibility

If, in response to your application for digital access, we refuse to provide access integrated by you, and you do not agree with this refusal, you have the right to file a complaint. You also have the right to file a complaint if you do not agree to use the access key that we offered you in response to your application for access to the system.
